Let Go. Rise Above. Breathe.

Welcome! Thanks for taking a moment of your day to stop by and share a little vision into my massage & yoga practice. My passion lies in helping others feel better than they did before. I believe our everyday lives are very effected by our health whether it be the mind, the body or the spirit. So take time to breathe... life is to short not to!

Are you aware that daily lifestyle, activities and stresses can create holding patterns in the body? These patterns make up our posture, gait & overall body mechanics. One of the worse things we can do for our bodies is NOT MOVE. If we aren’t active & keeping fluid movement a part of out lifestyle, our lymph becomes ‘stagnant’ and our fascia ‘stiff’. Massage/bodywork and yoga are wonderful effective and enjoyable ways to work the fascia and increase the lymph flow.

Being aware of our holding patterns and chronic tightness isn’t something that comes naturally. We must bring our awareness inward and really feel our presence in our own bodies.  Feel the way our muscles function and lay with an awareness of how they support our structure. When we have a chronically hypertonic muscle pattern, it is very possible that our bone structure is out of alignment.  It is important and greatly beneficial to work with a chiropractor as well as massage or bodywork therapist to address the structural body and its possible imbalances.

How about when you ARE active, but still feel sore & immobile? If you’re experiencing muscle soreness and/or tightness due to athletic activities, you can also find relief through massage and yoga. Consider pre & post event sports massage. You may be surprised to find your performance improves! A quick warm up of the muscle tissue can be very beneficial before a sporting event, allowing for more fluid, efficient movements. Yoga and massage within a few days after your event is helpful in easing muscle soreness.

So come in for a visit to see just how closely your goal of 'better' really is!
